You will prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints, smooth out imperfections, and work with ceiling tile installers to build walls. Among other duties, you will read blueprints and designs; prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing; and use a lift to position ceiling panels. You will also measure, cut, fit, and secure drywall panels and press paper tape into compound. After pressing the paper, you will apply multiple coats of compound, smooth away excess material, and sand the surfaces between coats. Additionally, you will fill joints between panels and cover nail and screw holes with spackle using a trowel. |

You will follow all relevant schedules and timelines, notify supervisors when emergencies occur or assistance is needed, and handle on-call situations as necessary. Additionally, you will comply with all SCAD and OSHA safety regulations, policies, and procedures. |
