About the College/Department:
As the only program of its kind in Kentucky, EKU Aviation provides the aerospace industry with the best-trained and safest professional pilots, and the most forward-thinking managers coming out of academia today. As the state's only FAA-approved 1,000-hour Restricted-Airline Transport Pilot (R-ATP) certified flight school, students will earn their Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII, Multi-Engine and Multi-Engine -Instructor ratings. EKU’s flight training operations, based out of Central Kentucky Regional Airport, a short 15-minute drive from the main campus.

Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Flight Operations Line Manager will be responsible for executing the daily flight schedule and coordinating with applicable offices to ensure the timely and safe conduct of training flights associated with the EKU Aviation flight training program. The incumbent will manage, coordinate, and assist in the assignment of daily flight schedule training flights to ensure student completion of the flight syllabus. Coordination with the Operations General manager, Maintenance manager, Chief Flight instructor and other staff as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree is required. A degree is aviation or business is preferred.
Experience: Two years of directly related experience in the aviation industry. Management experience is desired

Job Duties:
- 80% - Manages the day-to-day EKU flight operations to ensure timely, efficient and effective completion of assigned flight operations and events. - ()
- 5% - Assists the Chief Flight Instructor with the overall operations of the Aviation program including flight training activities, maintenance, safety, and records management. - ()
- 5% - Collects feedback from staff and students to be used to review and update the flight training program, training materials, and make recommendations for general aviation policies/procedures. - ()
- 5% - Ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 61 and Part 141 Certification requirements and all EKU policies and procedures. - ()
- 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
