Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Central Student Services Coordinator provides essential support to the Director and team leadership in managing the daily operations of the office. This role is pivotal in coordinating communications, managing schedules, and supporting various functions to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: • Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Experience: • Two years of experience in an academic advising, financial aid, recruitment or admissions capacity is preferred.
• At least one year's experience in a role with special emphasis in mass communication and technology.
• Experience to include a working knowledge of the structure of higher education and general Higher Education Policy & Procedures is required.

Licensure & Certifications: Valid KY Driver's license

Job Duties:

  • 35% - Systems Support: Provide expertise and assistance in leveraging the Slate CRM to improve student enrollment outcomes in addition to supporting departmental efforts with other university software. Formal coding experience is not required. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Communication and Information Management: Maintain the office's communication calendar and ensure timely dissemination of information to students, staff, and external partners. Assist with the creation and distribution of communication materials. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Process Coordination: Support the implementation workflows and office processes, including those related to financial aid, student accounting, and registration. Assist with tracking and reporting on the progress of various initiatives. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events and programs, such as student workshops, training sessions, and information fairs. - (Marginal)
  • 10% - Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Associate Directors to support the overall mission of Central Student Services. - (Marginal)
