Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Director of Sports Turf is responsible for all oversight of the Athletics Sports Turf areas on campus as well as athletic field setups and management, and specific maintenance of equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: - Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred in Horticulture or in a related field is required.
Experience: - Three years of related experience in golf/sports turf/horticulture management is required. - Related experience in layout, design, and construction is strongly preferred.
Licensure & Certifications: - A valid state driver's license is required. - EPA pest control license is required.

Job Duties:
- 35% - Provides oversight for the Athletics Sports Turf areas on campus. - ()
- 30% - Maintains overall university athletic field surfaces to meet NCAA competition guidelines for both player safety and field dimensions. Completes Athletic Field Set-ups/Game Management. - ()
- 15% - Develop and Manage the Sports Turf Budget for Athletics, Campus Rec, and Model Fields - ()
- 5% - Administer Sports Turf equipment lease contract in collaboration with our service provider such as John Deere. - ()
- 5% - Manages the maintenance of sport-specific equipment and schedules work responsibilities for all direct reports. - ()
- 5% - Oversees Special Projects. - ()
- 5% - Support the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
