Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for part-time faculty to teach Dual Credit Math courses for North Oldham High School. Appointment will begin January 21, 2025, with options to renew on a semester-to-semester basis.

Course load may be up to 10 credit hours per semester, depending on need. Courses may include, but not limited to, MAT 105 (Mathematics with Applications) or MAT 114 (College Algebra). Courses may be taught in-person and/or online.

Applicants should hold an earned master’s degree in mathematics, or a related field with at least 18 credit hours in graduate-level Mathematics, from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited or internationally recognized institution at the time of appointment. Successful Candidate is expected to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with high school/undergraduate students and the university community.

Candidates will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts for undergraduate and graduate programs, and contact information for at least 3 professional references.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree is required in Mathematics, or a related field with at least 18 credit hours in graduate-level Mathematics. Degree(s) must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited or internationally recognized institution.

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
