Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning (FCT&L) is searching for students to join the FCT&L for Fall 2025. Through a variety of responsibilities, the FCT&L Student Consultant will contribute to creating a welcoming, informative, and supportive environment that emphasizes the unique needs and success of EKU. As a FCT&L Student Consultant, you will gain hands-on experience in educational support services, technology assistance, event coordination, administrative functions, and research. This position is ideal for students who are passionate about higher education, instructional technology, communication, or faculty/staff engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Must be enrolled at EKU and eligible for Institutional or Federal Work-Study (IWS/FWS) funding.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A genuine interest in supporting and advocating for the needs of students, faculty, and staff.

Job Duties:

  • 25% - Provide guidance on available resources and services within the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Help organize and facilitate faculty development workshops, sessions, or special events. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Develop marketing materials, social media content, and newsletters to promote resources and events. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Support research projects related to teaching, learning, and development. - (Essential)
