Must be available to work 2 evenings a week 4:00-9pm and alternating Sundays 3-8 pm

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Chad Bratzke Student-Athlete Academic Success Center is seeking qualified candidates to fill 2 Graduate Assistant positions for Fall 2025/Spring 2026 reporting to the Director and Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services, the graduate assistants will assist in all phases of the academic support process.

Responsibilities include: mentoring football student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of football student-athletes, assisting with weekly reports. May work with other Athletes as assigned. Coordination and supervision of study hall in the evenings, ensuring tutor sessions meet and run smoothly, assisting with front desk duties, customer service and performing other duties as assigned by the SAASC Director and the Bratzke staff. Assistance with events, attendance at team meetings and support of all advisors and Bratzke staff is required.

This position provides a partial tuition waiver and stipend per semester. At the conclusion of the Fall 2025 semester, performance will be evaluated for possible continuation into Spring 2026 semester and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in EKU Graduate School.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a strong desire to work in the Athletic Academic Success career field as an academic advisor/counselor. Knowledge/ Experience working with diverse student-groups. Attention to detail and strong communication skills desired. Strong Work Ethic and ability to connect and relate to student-athletes. Able to take direction and work autonomously as needed.

Job Duties:

  • 50% - Mentoring student-athletes on academic progress on a daily/weekly basis. Assisting with organization and weekly to do lists. Reporting progress, concerns and other important information to Assistant Director - (Essential)
  • 40% - Monitoring and managing evening study hall to maintain a quiet study environment. Assist with matching students with tutors and providing customer service to anyone who comes in the center. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Assist with social media. Assist all Bratzke staff with special projects as needed. Occasional weekend and evening event support - (Essential)
