Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Web Content Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with the university’s brand standards and strategic goals. This role works closely with stakeholders across departments to maintain a cohesive presence that enhances user experience, accessibility, and engagement. By implementing best practices, including SEO and accessibility compliance, the specialist ensures that content effectively supports the university’s communications, marketing, and enrollment objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Web Design, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Preferred proficiency with: Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal. Strong understanding of SEO principles, web accessibility (WCAG), and digital writing best practices. Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and optimize content performance. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in web content creation, digital communications, or website management.
