Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Content Specialist will work closely with team members to write content that advances EKU's message internally and externally in press releases, publications, news sources and other utilized channels of communication. The candidate will accomplish this by organizing, prioritizing and composing compelling content that enhances EKU's strategic direction and goals, promoting and protecting the EKU brand and promoting its faculty, staff and leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Requires proficient knowledge of principles and practices of PR writing and curating content for digital and traditional content.
Experience: Two Years of experience or education may substitute for experience.

Job Duties:
- 75% - Coordinates EKU’s communication content by writing, editing, publishing and distributing articles, press releases, media advisories and other content; preparing internal and external communication upon leadership request; and monitoring EKU’s media coverage. - (Essential)
- 15% - Curate, edit and disseminate the EKU Today digital newsletter. - (Essential)
- 10% - Supports the office function by completing other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
