Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Dept. of Language & Cultural Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology is accepting applications for an adjunct instructor to teach GSD 101 (Foundations of Learning), a Student Success Seminar course to promote student success and lay the foundation for critical and creative thinking across the curriculum. Student Success Seminars include content about campus resources, study skills, and critical thinking, helping students find ways to get connected to the university during the transition to college.

Applicants should hold an earned Master's degree in college student personnel administration, higher education administration, an academic discipline, or related area.

Part-time faculty may teach up to nine credit hours, depending on departmental needs. Applicants will be screened and contacted as departmental needs for part-time faculty arise. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application. Official transcripts are required at the time of the position offer and as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's with minimum 18 graduate credit hours required. Degree(s) at time of appointment must be from a regionally accredited institution and/or international university.

Experience: One year of prior experience at EKU is required.
