Job Duties:

  • 45% - Advance Strategic Academic and Research Initiatives: Support EKU’s research agenda and grant development efforts, including the pursuit and advancement of new academic programs such as the proposed Osteopathic Medical program and other initiatives aligned with regional and national workforce needs. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Develop and Advocate Institutional Policy Proposals: Monitor higher education trends and economic developments to research, draft, and advocate for institutional policies that strengthen EKU’s strategic position within the Commonwealth and across the nation. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Cultivate Strategic Partnerships and Coalitions: Build and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and national stakeholders to support university priorities and amplify EKU’s voice in public and policy arenas - (Essential)
  • 15% - Lead Communication and Advocacy Efforts: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling materials and messaging for varied audiences, while organizing and implementing awareness campaigns and representing the university through testimony, presentations, and other outreach efforts. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Ensure Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with EKU’s Office of Legal Counsel to ensure all policy activities, proposals, and advocacy efforts comply with applicable laws and regulations. - (Essential)
