Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Systems Analyst, Compliance Reporting provides technical and analytical support to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student enrollment and graduation data reported by the Office of the Registrar. The incumbent serves as the primary administrator for National Student Clearinghouse (NSCH) enrollment and degree reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions in accordance with federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements.

This position serves as a liaison between the Registrar's Office and IT on matters related to compliance reporting, Banner Student System functionality, and reporting enhancements. The Systems Analyst examines student data, investigates reporting discrepancies, coordinates system testing, and develops processes to enhance data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. The position also provides secondary functional support for Degree Works and the Degrees Team by assisting with degree audit reviews, approved academic exceptions, audit-related inquiries, and the resolution of student record and degree audit issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience: One year of experience is required.

Job Duties:

  • 45% - Manage all enrollment, graduation, and compliance reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSCH). Ensure timely and accurate submission of enrollment, degree, and related compliance data in accordance with federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements. Monitor submission results, resolve errors, perform reconciliations, and maintain compliance with reporting deadlines. - (Essential)
  • 30% - Analyze, audit, and validate student data within Banner and related systems to ensure reporting accuracy. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by collaborating with departments including Financial Aid, Admissions, Graduate School, Institutional Research, Information Technology, and Academic Colleges. Develop and maintain documentation, validation procedures, and quality control processes to improve data integrity. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Serve as a functional support specialist for Degree Works by reviewing and applying approved petitions and exceptions in accordance with university policies and approved documentation. Research and respond to inquiries from advisors, faculty, staff, students, and academic departments regarding degree audits, student-specific issues, audit discrepancies, exceptions, and general Degree Works functionality. Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving degree audit errors while maintaining accurate student records and ensuring consistency in the application of academic policies. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Support the Office of the Registrar through special projects, documentation, cross-training initiatives, quality check reviews, policy development, and other duties as assigned. Provide technical guidance related to compliance reporting and assist with institutional reporting initiatives as needed. - (Essential)
