Assistant Professor of Practice in Education and Associate Director of Doctoral Programs – Singapore (Based at Drake University) Iowa
The School of Education at Drake University is excited to launch a search for an Assistant Professor of Practice to support our Doctor of Education (EdD) program offered in Singapore in partnership with Nanyang Science and Technology College (NSTC) and to serve as the Associate Director of Doctoral Programs - Singapore. This is a non-tenure-track, consecutive-term, 11-month appointment beginning July 2026. The Assistant Professor of Practice will be located on the Drake University campus in Des Moines, Iowa and will teach remotely in the EdD program in Singapore (with possible in-person teaching opportunities in Singapore during the January Term and in the summer), advise doctoral student group dissertations in practice, serve on group dissertation committees, and contribute service to the School of Education and the University. As the Associate Director of Doctoral Programs – Singapore, this position will also provide leadership and support for the development and growth of the EdD program in Singapore in partnership with NSTC.
Treasury and Endowment Director - 999855 Iowa
The Treasury and Endowment Director serves as a leader in Drake’s treasury and endowment management function. The Director overseas the administration of the Drake University endowment consisting of over $330 million in investments. The Director maintains the primary operational relationship with the external investment advisor and a number of investment custodians/brokers. The Director administers a variety of investment types including mutual funds, private investments, trusts, annuities, real estate, and life insurance. The Director is responsible for the treasury management function of the University, consisting of cash management and maintaining banking relationships. The Director’s target is to maintain sufficient liquidity, maximize earnings on idle cash, and deter fraudulent activity. The Director works closely with Institutional Advancement to account for all contributions to the University. The Director ensures gifts are recorded properly and coordinates and consults with University constituents on the use of restricted and endowed funding, ensuring the use of funding aligns with donor intent. The Director is responsible for the recording of donor pledges and all financial reporting related to contributions. The Director will have the opportunity to significantly influence the successful implementation of Workday’s Financials systems. The Director reports to the University’s CFO and services as one of five members of the Finance leadership team that provides oversight and strategic direction to the Finance staff. The Director leads a staff of two. The Treasury and Endowment Director is expected to support the University Continuous Improvement Plan initiatives and live out the University Core Values.
Assistant or Associate Professor, Occupational Therapy - 998205 Iowa
This position reports to the OTD Program Director/Chairperson and will oversee and teach the research series courses and mentor junior OT faculty in research design and data analysis. Specific responsibilities include course development and teaching based on content expertise, student advising and mentoring, college and community service, and scholarship at a level consistent with the appointment. Faculty in the OTD program teach 11-13 credits annually and are expected to engage in academic and professional service to advance the college, University and the profession, and scholarship, including dissemination of the results.
