Job Summary:

Under direct or indirect supervision of custodial manager and/ or Custodial Supervisor Facility Maintainers perform a variety of custodial task and activities designed to maintain to campus in orderly, sanitary, safe, and attractive condition, work activities are scheduled and unscheduled in nature and are subject to frequent interruptions.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High graduate or equivalent.

- Ability to read to communicate in writing using the English language.

- Ability to follow instructions.

- Ability to consistently meet to department work schedule as designated.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must Have a valid Iowa Driver's License, good driving record and insurable by Drake.

Job Duties:

• 40% - Vacuum, dust mop, damp and wet mop, stairwell, restroom, hallways, classrooms and offices.
• 20% - Clean and disinfect area by washing with germicidal cleaning solution, polish sinks, drinking fountains, toilets, mirrors and similar apparatus: Spot wash, light switches and telephone; wash or windows and door glass: keep all debris in area picked up. 
• 20% - Utilizes chemicals supplies and equipment to complete task, including exercising judgment to choose appropriate chemical and equipment for each task.
• 10% - Collects to remove trash and recycle waste inside and outside of the University buildings. 
• 10% - Other duties as assigned.
