Job Duties
To provide professional oversight for authorized construction and design projects on behalf of the Department of Corrections for all phases of the work from inception to completion while assuring the Departments needs are being met.
Minimum Qualifications
Some experience managing long term construction projects. Knowledge and experience with the Department of General Services’ DEB policies and procedures. Experience negotiating and managing highly complex construction projects. Ability to be accurate, self-regulating, and able to work independently and creatively, Ability to communicate in a highly refined and compelling manner, both written and verbal.
Additional Considerations
Architectural or Engineering Degree or equivalent related experience and any Professional Certifications or Licenses related to Construction. Comprehensive knowledge of the Department of Corrections’ operation. Knowledge of the Department of Purchasing and Supply policies and procedures. Comprehensive knowledge of procurement and contracting, contract administration, and state procurement and procurement audit requirements. Comprehensive knowledge of the Capital Outlay process and a full understanding of the Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM).
