Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education for Respiratory Therapy Jackson
The Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education (DCE) for Respiratory Therapy is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction and related activities. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. The Assistant Professor and DCE for Respiratory Therapy is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during assigned times. The duties will be performed at the Jackson campus, but will include travel to affiliate laboratories as needed. The Assistant Professor and DCE for Respiratory Therapy will operate under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Therapist Program Director and the Dean of the School of Healthcare Professions and in cooperation with other stakeholders. Other stakeholders include the RCT Advisory Committee, Jackson State Community College, and all relevant accrediting bodies. Course release will be implemented in order to allow time for added duties of the role of Director of Clinical Education.
