Mechanical Technology Instructor/HVAC and Plumbing Arnold/Main Campus
Part time faculty position located in the Clauson Center for Innovation and Skilled Trades on the Arnold campus. Instructor is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in HVAC and Plumbing trades. The instructor is expected follow the provided curriculum outline and learning expectations in regular increments and timeline. Content for course is both lab based and theoretical. Instructional guidelines, learning materials, and content are hosted in on-line learning platforms. Training and support for new instructors is provided before and during instructional terms. Instructors must have expertise in the trade and the ability to effectively manage a group training/learning environment. Some basic computer experience (email, web browsing, basic communication and organization) is also required. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. A desire to share your knowledge of the industry with future skilled trades workers is a must! Instructors will be required to adhere to Anne Arundel Community College’s Part Time Faculty Instructional policies and procedures.
Skilled Trades Math Instructor Arnold/Main Campus
Anne Arundel Community College is seeking a part-time Skilled Trades Math Instructor to support students in the Mechanical Technology training program. This course is delivered primarily online during the day, with some in-person presence required as needed. The instructor will teach foundational math concepts through an applied, contextualized approach that connects directly to electrical and mechanical trades. Working in collaboration with the trades instructor, the math instructor will help align instruction with program outcomes, reinforce technical skills, and support student success in an Integrated Education and Training (IET) model. Course content is housed in Canvas, and instructors are expected to use the learning management system to deliver instruction, communicate with students, and support an engaging online learning environment. Candidates invited for an interview will be asked to provide a short teaching demonstration.
Custodian I/II-various shifts available Arnold/Main Campus
The Custodian I/II position is responsible for providing custodial services for all College buildings. Dedicated to assuring proper hygiene compliance and the cleanliness of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, administrative offices, auditoriums, etc. There will be (4) overnight, 11pm – 7am shifts and (1) shift that will work 7am – 3pm (3) weekdays and Saturday and Sunday.
Operations Support Specialist Arnold/Main Campus
The Operations Support Specialist for Science is responsible for providing clerical, administrative, and support services for the Life Sciences office. The Operations Support Specialist conducts all front-line and day-to-day processes for the Life Sciences office. The Operations Support Specialist may have some responsibility to assist in the supervision and training of temporary/work staff.
Instructional Support Center Assistant, CEWD Arnold/Main Campus
The Assistant, ISC is responsible for implementation of student engagement efforts through direct community contact and electronic media that directly supports courses, programs, and training delivered by departments in the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. The Assistant is responsible for the dissemination of information to the general public and students of the Continuing Education and Workforce Development program areas. In addition, the Assistant is responsible for providing operational support for activities and processes related to public inquiry, students, faculty and staff, database and office systems.
Behavior Specialist-Brooklyn Pk Off Campus
The Behavior Specialist provides guidance, support, and practical strategies to parents located in the Brooklyn Park area through programming associated with the TEACH Institute at Anne Arundel Community College. The primary goal is to empower parents, helping them become confident, effective and emotionally connected caregivers. Additionally, the Behavior Specialist develops curriculum, connects families with resources, and conducts progress tracking in conjunction with grants and other contracts funded through parent initiatives. Specific duties include referral-based parent coaching, including child observations, development/delivery of parent education programming, diligent record keeping and ongoing professional development.
Behavior Specialist/Teen Parent Arnold/Main Campus
The Behavior Specialist provides support for teen parents enrolled in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) Teen Parent Education Program. Specific duties include in-center home visits with parents, child observations and collaboration with childcare staff, facilitating monthly group seminars, liaising with center staff, teaching staff professional development, diligent record keeping and ongoing professional development.
Manager of Workplace Safety & Risk Management Arnold/Main Campus
The Manager of Workplace Safety & Risk Management is responsible for the college’s insurance program and works closely with college administrators and the college’s insurance broker to identify and select coverages and mitigate risk. This position administers the college’s workplace safety programs and provides safety and PPE training to campus personnel. The position also coordinates the pick-up, removal, and proper disposal of hazardous waste materials for the campus in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Part-Time Faculty - Continuing Education - Fitness Instructor Off Campus
The Lifelong Learning Department is seeking part-time fitness instructors to teach daytime class(es) in our continuing education program for adult learners, ages 55+ in Anne Arundel County. Dental Hygiene Academic Coordinator Arnold/Main Campus
In collaboration with the DHY Program Director, the Academic Coordinator oversees didactic instruction in the Dental Hygiene (DHY) program at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), to include but not limited to, quality assurance of instruction, instructional oversight of dental hygiene part-time faculty, reviewing and updating program manuals, ensuring course content is up to date for instruction, assisting the DHY Clinical Coordinator in supervising students in the dental clinic, and monitoring student retention and completion. The Academic Coordinator participates in student recruitment, orientations, assessment activities, program analysis, student support, workforce development, and technology integration. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, instruction in classroom, laboratory, clinical, hybrid, and online formats, tutoring support, and ensuring compliance with college policies, CODA standards, CDC guidelines, OSHA standards, and ADA recommendations.
Kitchen Operations Manager Arnold/Main Campus
The Kitchen Operations Manager oversees the daily operations, safety, and functionality of instructional kitchens supporting AACC’s credit and continuing education culinary, baking, and pastry programs in the Hospitality Culinary Arts and Tourism (HCAT) Institute. This position ensures that all culinary labs operate efficiently and safely, and align with curriculum requirements, regulatory standards, and institutional policies. The Kitchen Operations Manager works closely with faculty, staff, and students to support high‑quality, hands‑on culinary education and workforce preparation. The Kitchen Operations Manager is also responsible for the procurement, inventory, and maintenance of supplies and equipment for all programs housed under the HCAT Institute, including culinary, baking and pastry, and casino gaming.
Operating/Stationary Engineer Arnold/Main Campus
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the college Physical Plant and all related equipment. The Operating Engineer is responsible for serving in the capacity of maintenance mechanic when supplemental staffing is needed. This position can be full time or part time.
