Seamore Shuttle Driver Michigan
The Seamore Shuttle Driver is a student employee position within the Housing and Residential Life department at Lake Superior State University. Drivers are responsible for operating the Seamore Shuttle, a free transportation service available to currently enrolled LSSU students. The shuttle provides reliable transportation to key locations within the city limits of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, including grocery stores, pharmacies, shopping centers, and other essential service areas. This position is critical to supporting student access to basic needs, especially for those without personal transportation. Drivers are expected to uphold the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer service while ensuring that students arrive at their destinations on time and feel welcomed during their ride. Shuttle Drivers must operate the university vehicle responsibly and independently, following all LSSU vehicle policies, Michigan traffic laws, and established shuttle schedules or routing procedures. Drivers are expected to conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate records (such as mileage and usage logs), and report any issues or delays promptly to the Housing and Residential Life Office. In addition to driving duties, Seamore Shuttle Drivers serve as representatives of LSSU, often being one of the few staff students interact with outside of the classroom. As such, professionalism, friendliness, and a student-centered attitude are essential. Drivers should be comfortable interacting with students from a wide range of backgrounds and be prepared to respond calmly and appropriately to minor conflicts, delays, or concerns during their shifts. This role offers a valuable opportunity for LSSU students to build professional skills in time management, communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making, all while contributing directly to student success and well-being.
2025-2026 Student Game Day Staff Michigan
Lake Superior State University Athletics is seeking dependable and enthusiastic students to join the Game Day Operations Team. These essential roles support the execution of home athletic events for Laker Hockey, Volleyball, and Men’s and Women’s Basketball, ensuring a professional and entertaining experience for student-athletes, fans, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Students may be assigned one or more of the following roles depending on availability, experience, and interest: 1. Scoreboard & Time Clock Operator Operate the game clock, scoreboard, shot clock, and penalty timers using official systems, Work closely with officials and scorekeepers to ensure accurate timing and display, Maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the game. 2. Stat Crew / Statistician Assist with live game statistics using NCAA-approved software Record player stats. Collaborate with sports information staff and broadcasters to ensure accurate data. 3. DJ / Music Operator Manage music playlists and in-game sound elements Match energy to the atmosphere while adhering to LSSU Athletics standards and music policies. Coordinate with PA announcer and production crew. 4. Camera Operator Film live game action, crowd shots, or replay footage using university cameras or streaming equipment. Assist with setup and teardown of video gear. Maintain steady, high-quality footage for live broadcasts or highlight reels. 5. On-Ice / On-Court Support Set up and tear down game equipment (e.g., nets, scorer’s tables, signage, warm-up areas). Support intermission and timeout activities Help with managing benches, locker room access, and team logistics. 6. Production / A/V Support Assist with video board operations, instant replay systems, livestream production, and graphics. Operate sound and microphone equipment as needed. Troubleshoot and support technical aspects of in-game entertainment and broadcast.

Housing & Residence Life Student Office Assistant Michigan
The Student Office Assistant (SOA) is a key member of the Housing and Residential Life team at Lake Superior State University. This position serves as the first point of contact for students, families, and campus guests. Based in the Housing Office, SOAs help create a welcoming, student-centered environment by offering courteous and informed assistance both in person and over the phone. SOAs provide essential administrative support for housing operations, including managing all incoming and outgoing mail and packages for on-campus residents. Responsibilities include sorting, logging, and distributing mail, notifying students of package arrivals, and maintaining mailroom organization and security. Attention to detail and discretion are critical. Additional duties include assisting with student check-ins and check-outs, processing room changes, managing key distribution and collection, preparing documents and mailings, and completing campus errands. SOAs also give residence hall tours to prospective students and families, support special housing events, and complete daily service desk rounds to ensure shared spaces are stocked and functional. This position offers hands-on experience in customer service, communication, and office operations. SOAs are trusted representatives of Housing and Residential Life and contribute to creating a positive, organized, and student-friendly residential experience.
25/26 Student Admissions Ambassador Michigan
Admissions Student Ambassadors are a vital part of the recruitment of prospective students and are employed directly by the Admissions Office at Lake Superior State University. Student Ambassadors are a select group of students dedicated to the positive promotion of the Institution and are an essential component of LSSU’s public relation and outreach. -Provide prospective students and their families with exceptional customer service -Build relationships and lend guidance to prospective students and their parents in person and over the telephone. -Provide information concerning Lake Superior State University and share positive LSSU related experiences with the students and families -Relay the prospective student’s needs and requests to the appropriate Admissions staff -Aim to encourage enrollment of prospective students -Participate in required training meetings and remain informed of current LSSU Admissions and campus life procedures, activities, andevents -Provide assistance in various events and programs planned by the Admissions Office such as GLSW, Orientation, and Open Houses -Give tours of campus to prospective students and their families -Perform other admissions related tasks as needed such as data input, mailings, answering multi-line phone, ETC Some weekend work opportunities.
