Purpose of Position
You will have the opportunity to assist in creating engaging content for Instagram and Facebook posts and stories that showcase our department, its students, activities and productions. You will assist our departmental social media content-creators by taking photos and videos at production rehearsals and departmental special events. If interested, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute your own social media campaign and explore innovative ways to grow our online presence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Taking photos and videos at rehearsals and other special events
- Assisting with social media post and story creation
- Creating visually appealing graphics
- Taking and editing videos for social platforms
- Collaborating with faculty and students to highlight department achievements and upcoming productions
Required Competencies
- Demonstrated experience creating social media content in a professional or organizational capacity
- Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Video editing skills and experience creating short-form content
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Minimum Requirements
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
- Currently enrolled student eligible for Federal Work Study
