Salary/Position Classification

  • $25.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • Varies (either 4 or 6 hours in total, depending on the camp schedule) hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering a structured program of adapted physical activities for children aged 8 to 12, including those with physical or developmental disabilities such as Autism and Down syndrome
    • Activities include pickleball, catching, throwing, and other fundamental movements
  • Setup and prepare equipment for activities.
  • Participate in training sessions to prepare for the program implementation.

  • Ability to work with children, including those with special needs.
  • Skills in organizing and implementing structured physical activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at UND during the summer and fall of 2025.
  • Ability to participate in the summer program consistency.

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in special education, early childhood education, adapted physical activity, and motor development.
  • Eagerness to learn motor development assessment, physical activity measures (using accelerometers), and program design & implementation.
  • Previous experience in these areas is not required but is beneficial.
