• $32.00/hour, contract, exempt
• 18-28 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time instructional/teaching assistant position to help facilitate laboratory instruction, delivery of Medical Laboratory Science curriculum, and instructional support for the Medical Laboratory Science department.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, planning, delivery, and evaluation of laboratory and simulated coursework
• Assist with development and/or implementation of departmental and curricular initiatives

Required Competencies                         

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to properly handle biohazardous samples/specimens
• Ability to operate medical laboratory equipment
• Ability to work individually and in groups    

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLS program
• Admitted to or currently enrolled in the UND's Master's in Medical Laboratory Science program
• Successful completion of criminal history records check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience (including training of new employees and/or students during clinical rotations)
