Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

To assist with laboratory work, relevant data collection, and documentation of activities related to the Advanced Transportation Infrastructure Center (ATIC) at CEM. For more information, click or visithttps://engineering.und.edu/research/advanced-transportation-infrastructure-center/index.html

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The position will require instate travel, flying UAS, mixing and breaking concrete sample, construct small scale infrastructure
  • The perform assigned tasks regarding
    • 1) UAS data collection for bridge evaluation and construction monitoring
    • 2) Nondestructive evaluation of transportation infrastructure (e.g., railroad)
    • 3) additive construction and 3D printing of concrete (e.g. culverts)

Required Competencies

  • Ability to become UAS pilot or having a UAS licensee
  • Proper technical communication
  • Ability to perform laboratory experiment for concrete testing
  • Teamwork and collaboration

Minimum Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student at UND
  • Ability to commit time throughout the summer (between 10 and 40 hours a week)
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
