Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is management of all set up, operations, and recordkeeping related to event parking. This position hires, trains, and supervises personnel for all aspects of event responsibilities. This position will manage lot signs and stall inventory. This position will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support for Parking Services.

Subject to call back 7 days a week, 24 hours a day

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all field operations for events
  • Coordinate all field operations, including scheduling and training staff, deploying, and collecting traffic control equipment.
  • Flexible work schedule is required, including evening and weekends.
  • Manage all money collections and deposits according to policy and procedures set by the University.
  • Hire, train, and supervise the event team and ensure schedules have the appropriate coverage.
  • Responsible for the SF vehicles assigned to events
  • Responsible for ordering, maintaining and the inventory of all traffic control equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining the event email and calendar 
  • Manage parking lots including parking ramp
  • Submit work orders and coordinate lot repairs.
  • Responsible for all lot signage; including inventory, ordering, and submitting work orders.
  • Maintain and update space inventory spreadsheet to ensure accuracy; coordinate with Facilities’ Space Manager to ensure AiM parking lot assets and stalls are accurate.
  • Coordinate locations for post placements.
  • Once locates have been identified, submit work orders for post placement.
  • Provide communication to the parking team and others affected with parking lot updates, changes, or interferences.
  • Coordinate ramp cleaning in the spring.
  • Manage pay stations.
  • Collect and deposit pay stations revenue in accordance with internal auditing requirements.
  • Deposit credit card transactions used at the pay stations and Passport Parking.
  • Maintain spreadsheets associated to pay stations and Passport Parking.
  • Work with the Housing Office for all parking lot needs.
  • Work with the team in scheduling lot counts. 
  • Parking Enforcement Officer
  • Provide front-line and administrative support for Parking Services.
  • Provide enforcement support for Parking Services.
  • Support the mission, vision, and goals of Parking Services by performing other assigned tasks with professionalism, efficiency, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Contributes to departmental initiatives, collaboration with team members, and ensures high-quality service delivery aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provides coverage for other areas as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in meeting departmental needs. This may include assuming additional responsibilities, assisting with special projects, and supporting colleagues to ensure the continuity of operations.
  • Maintains a proactive and solution-oriented approach to support the overall success of the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to enhance the overall effectiveness of the department.
  • Create, update, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all job duties, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency. 

Required Competencies

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proven verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively communicate with the campus community end the general public
  • Able to maintain a calm, courteous and objective attitude in all situations: able to diffuse adverse situations using negotiation and persuasion skills;
  • Able to effectively work independently with minimal supervision:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, using sound judgment and professional integrity
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of computer systems and software, including T2, and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Able to manually direct traffic using verbal commands and dual hand signals, walk long distances on campus, and verbally communicate via portable handheld radio.
  • Organizational, multi-task, prioritization skills preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • 2 years of experience in customer service
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word or Outlook
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with T2 Software and hardware
  • Knowledgeable of all campus parking lots, buildings, and offer assistance to visitors directing them to various campus locations and parking availability.
