  • 15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee Front-of-House Operations: Ensure a smooth, professional experience for audience members from arrival to departure.
  • Supervise Ushers and Volunteers: Train, assign, and manage usher teams for ticket collection, seating, and audience assistance.
  • Coordinate with Stage Management and Box Office: Maintain communication to coordinate opening house, intermissions, and curtain calls.
  • Prepare the Venue: Ensure lobby, auditorium, restrooms, and public spaces are clean, welcoming, and stocked with programs and signage.
  • Address Patron Needs: Greet guests, assist with seating or accessibility accommodations, and handle any concerns or emergencies calmly and professionally.
  • Enforce Theatre Policies: Monitor audience behavior and enforce policies regarding late seating, food/drink, and cell phone use.
  • Open and Close the House: Unlock doors, set up signage, turn on lights before the show; secure the building and turn off house lights after.

  • Must be available to work during the performances of the UND Theater Shows
    • October 1-5, 2025
    • November 7-16, 2025
    • December 6 & 7, 2025
    • February 25-March 1st, 2026
    • April 22-26, 2026
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
