Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Attending weekly or bi-weekly research meetings.
- Searching, collecting, and organizing recent research into electric, hybrid, or alternative propulsion systems.
- Contacting survey respondents.
- Facilitating data collection, data cleaning, and/or presentation.
- Participating in drafting a research manuscript.
- Other research tasks as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a current UND aviation student of Junior or Senior status.
- Must possess FAA Commercial pilot credential and/or FAA instructor certificates.
- Must be eligible to work on-campus
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, or willing to learn.
- Available to work In Grand Forks with periodic in-person and/or Zoom meetings throughout the academic year (roughly August 2025 through end of April 2026).
