Salary/Position Classification

• 20.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 10 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Attending weekly or bi-weekly research meetings.
• Searching, collecting, and organizing recent research into electric, hybrid, or alternative propulsion systems.
• Contacting survey respondents.
• Facilitating data collection, data cleaning, and/or presentation.
• Participating in drafting a research manuscript. 
• Other research tasks as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a current UND aviation student of Junior or Senior status.
• Must possess FAA Commercial pilot credential and/or FAA instructor certificates.
• Must be eligible to work on-campus
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, or willing to learn.
• Available to work In Grand Forks with periodic in-person and/or Zoom meetings throughout the academic year (roughly August 2025 through end of April 2026).
