Salary/Position Classification

• $14.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• Varies - hours are only available on days when we have shows or events hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

As an usher at the Fritz, you play a key role in making sure our guests have a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. You’ll help people find their seats, answer questions, and assist throughout the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet patrons
• Scan tickets
• Provide information about the event or venue.
• Assist patrons in finding their seats and accommodating special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility.
• Distribute programs and materials to patrons.
• Monitor assigned doors and section to ensure patrons follow house rules (e.g., no flash photography, maintaining quiet).
• Manage the flow of guests during intermissions or emergencies.
• Address disruptive behavior or any safety concerns Pitch in with other duties as needed 
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to stand for several hours at a time during our shows.
• Available to work evenings and weekends (shifts are usually 3–4 hours)
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
