Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Help design and collect data in our hydraulics laboratory experiments—supporting setup, testing,
and data logging for scale‐model flume studies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the physical setup of hydraulic apparatus and instrumentation
  • Collect and record laboratory and field data accurately
  • Prepare written summaries, reports, and presentation slides
  • Be physically capable of lifting equipment 

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Completion of Fluid Mechanics or equivalent course
  • Strong attention to detail and basic data‐analysis skills (Excel, MATLAB, or Python)
  • Good communication skills for report writing and group meetings
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
