Salary/Position Classification

  • $15.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 6 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend a 2-hour training in AVID methodologies.
  • Provides academic support to students.
  • Leads subject-specific tutorial groups.
  • Acts as a role model for AVID students
  • Assists in the organization and participation of functions and activities.
  • Advocates for AVID among college peers in order to build a pool of tutors 

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidate is responsible for their own Transportaion to off campus location.
  • Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of student Finance.
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester.
  • 2.5 GPA
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
