Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Supports the promotion and outreach of national scholarship opportunities through marketing, social media, and event planning. Ideal for students interested in communications, outreach, and project management. The student assistant will gain skills in research & analysis, marketing & branding, digital & tech skills, and project & event management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Website & Promotion.
- Assist with updating and maintaining the scholarship website
- Create digital, print, and social media content
- Support communication with departments, student orgs, and campus units Event Planning.
- Assist with event marketing and logistics
- Develop a task calendar for planning and outreach Newsletter.
- Content creation
- Design and layout
Minimum Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail in writing, editing, and project execution
- Skilled in maintaining organized records
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience with or willingness to learn tools like Canva, WordPress, SMORE, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior marketing experience preferred
- Willingness to complete UND website training and brand training
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
