Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
The purpose of this position is to provide instructional support for ENGR 200 during the Spring 2026
semester, which serves approximately 90–100 students enrolled both on campus and online.
The student will assist in homework evaluation and grading of group report assignments.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position open only to currently enrolled University of North Dakota
(UND) students. Renewal for future semesters may be considered based on performance
Duties & Responsibilities
- Grade approximately one homework assignment per week for up to 100 students.
- Download, analyze, and run each student’s submitted code (in Python or MATLAB) to check for comprehension and output accuracy.
- Provide grading and feedback for group project reports and assist in managing group project processes throughout the semester.
- Communicate with the course instructor to ensure grading consistency and timely feedback.
Minimum Requirements
- High-level proficiency in Python and MATLAB programming languages.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to be quickly responsive and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Fluency in Python 3.10 or later, and fluency in MATLAB.
Computer science student preferred, having completed CSC1 160 and 161 with a minimum grade of B.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
