Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Assist the Computational Research Center – DREAM Lab team with supporting 3D desktop, 3D virtual reality, and other 3D devices for use by UND students and research faculty.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Windows desktop support
- Virtual reality headset support
- Server maintenance
- 3D design for 3D printing
- New user on-boarding
- Software instruction
- 3D scanning instruction
- Motion capture instruction
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated aptitude/enthusiasm for 3D technology – relevant experience includes:
- Playing/developing video games
- 3D printing/additive manufacturing
- Developing 3D virtual reality experiences.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Windows Desktop Support
- Previous experience with Additive Manufacturing/3D printing/3D Design/3D CAD software
- Pervious experience with UAS/Drone operations
- Previous experience digitizing real-world objects using photogrammetry or laser scanning
- Previous experience with Maya, Blender3D, or similar Digital Content Creation software
- Previous experience with Unity, Unreal, or similar game engines and Web3D browsers
- Previous experience with motion capture technologies
- Previous experience with E-Sports
