Salary/Position Classification

• $12.00/hour + dependent upon experience hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 15-20 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Tasks may include literature research, bioinformatics analysis of own and published omics datasets, and on-the bench experiments involving DNA and RNA purification and characterization 

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Willingness to learn laboratory techniques and follow safe lab practices.
• Able to dedicate up to 19 hours per week to the lab
• Able to learn bioinformatics or learn advanced molecular biology techniques
• Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with bench work including micro pipetting and/or mammalian cell culture, or bioinformatics/computer programming
