Purpose of Position
As an usher at the Fritz, you play a key role in making sure our guests have a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. You’ll help people find their seats, answer questions, and assist throughout the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greeting patrons
- Scanning tickets
- Providing information about the event or venue
- Assisting patrons in finding their seats and accommodating special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility
- Distributing programs and materials to patrons
- Monitoring assigned doors and section to ensure patrons follow house rules (e.g., no flash photography, maintaining quiet)
- Managing the flow of guests during intermissions or emergencies
- Addressing disruptive behavior or any safety concerns
- Other duties as needed

Minimum Requirements
- Must have the ability to stand for several hours at a time during our shows
- Available to work evenings and weekends (shifts are usually 3–4 hours)
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
