Salary/Position Classification

Purpose of Position

Drs. Zhang and Marquis are looking for a post-bachelor-level student to help with analysis, reporting, and processing code development related to ongoing research related to weather and climate impacts on agricultural production in the Northern Great Plains region.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Climate model downscaling, crop modeling and data assimilation, remote sensing, machine learning, and statistical analysis 

Required Competencies

  • Analysis, reporting, and processing code development, critical thinking and problem solving, technology.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Sciences or related field
  • Strong software & programming skills (e.g., Python)
  • Experience with climate datasets
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
