Duke Club Graduate Assistant-Event and Stewardship Harrisonburg
James Madison University (JMU) Duke Club is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant. This is a two-year position, August-May, contingent on performance and academic program requirements. The position includes 12 tuition credits per semester (fall and spring). A stipend will be provided per semester. The candidate will work approximately 20 hours per week. The candidate must be in the process of obtaining a master’s degree at James Madison University and possess a strong desire to recognize, celebrate, and impact athletics annual giving and donor engagement initiatives through collaboration with department staff as well as JMU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and donors. The Duke Club is the fundraising arm for JMU Athletics, providing financial support to all of the 18 varsity sport programs. Duke Club members are Proud & True Fund (PATF) donors who recognize the value of the student-athlete experience and the JMU education — helping to keep JMU Athletics programs among the best in the nation. Support of the Proud & True Fund is vital to the continued success of more than 500 JMU student-athletes and makes a significant impact on each athlete and program. Position Reporting & Program Information: Reporting to, and with assistance from designated staff, the director of special events and donor stewardship with the Duke Club. The Duke Club is the fundraising arm and annual fund (Proud & True Fund) for JMU Athletics that supports the 18 varsity sport programs, scholarships, and the athletics general operating budget — as well as support for restricted giving sport program funds and fundraising initiatives for all 18 varsity sport programs and cheerleading.
Associate Director of Research Security and International Compliance Harrisonburg
The Associate Director of Research Security and International Compliance provides strategic leadership for the university’s research security program and oversees compliance initiatives within the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (ORIC). This senior role ensures institutional alignment with federal mandates, mitigates risks related to foreign influence and cybersecurity, and promotes ethical research practices through comprehensive training and oversight. The Associate Director collaborates extensively with International Research and Engagement Services (IRES), Office of Sponsored Programs Administrative Services (OSPAS), Sponsored Programs Financial Administration (SPFA), University Legal Counsel, the University Compliance Officer and Risk Management to safeguard the research enterprise and maintain compliance with evolving federal requirements. The role also supports export control infrastructure and international compliance initiatives to strengthen JMU’s global research engagement while mitigating risk.
Teaching Post Doctoral Associate (Two Positions) - Department of Engineering Harrisonburg
The Department of Engineering at James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for two teaching post-doctoral associates. This opportunity combines instructional experience, mentorship, and professional development to enable candidates to develop their pedagogical skills and a robust scholarship program in an undergraduate engineering context. Post-doctoral associates will teach within the Engineering curriculum while receiving individual mentorship from JMU faculty and will be provided opportunities to develop their own professional portfolio. This is a fixed-term appointment at the rank of instructor. The appointment is for two 10-month periods, the first 10-month period will start August 10th, 2026, and the second 10-month period will start in August 2027. In the first period, associates will teach within the engineering fundamentals and design courses (ENGR 112, 231, and 232) and will work with an instructional team to enhance their instructional approaches and methods. In the second 10-month period, associates will have the opportunity to expand their experiences through opportunities such as: teaching upper-level courses, developing special topics courses, supervising undergraduate research or mentoring capstone projects. The specifics will be tailored to the individual and needs of the department, in consultation with the Academic Unit Head and their mentors.

Graduate Assistant, Catalog Production Office Harrisonburg
This position provides support to the Office of Faculty Affairs and Curriculum by primarily assisting in the production and editorial aspects of publications (catalogs and other publications), as well as contributing to other departmental projects.
