An adjunct instructor undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate History courses within UNT Dallas’s History major, including core-curriculum U.S. History (2610-U.S. History to 1865, and 2620-U.S. History since 1865), Texas History (4700), and World Civilization courses (1050-World Civilization I, 1060-World Civilization II), and there may be an opportunity to teach upper-level courses.
Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructor Pool AY 2025-2026 Dallas

The successful candidate will be expected to develop curriculum and provide instruction in a range of classes in Criminal Justice and Justice and Social Policy. Other duties may include coordination with the department Program Coordinator, and other faculty as needed. Faculty Adjunct Assistant-Fall 2025 Downtown Dallas
The appointment will be as Faculty Assistant/Adjunct Faculty to assist in teaching Client Interviewing and Counseling and/or Negotiation and Conflict Management by leading small groups of students through interviewing or negotiation simulations. Classes will be delivered in person at the UNT Dallas College of Law downtown location. Client Interviewing and Counseling sessions will meet on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on starting the second week of September and concluding end of November for approximately 10-11 session. Negotiation and Conflict Management will meet on Thursday afternoons from 2:30 pm-4:30 pm starting second week of September and concluding at the end of November approximately 10-11 sessions. Faculty Adjunct Assistants will work in pairs to lead/coach small groups of students through either interviewing simulations or negotiation simulations that are created and/or provided by the Assistant Professor of the Course. Faculty Adjunct Assistants do not create/design any aspect of the course but are responsible for grading the simulations and coaching the students. Multiple positions may be available for both time frames, although there are considerably more slots for the Client Interviewing and Counseling course. While preferences for courses will be considered, depending on student enrollment and the number of returning Faculty Adjunct Assistants, the number of available positions may be limited. Because these classes contribute to student engagement/networking in the North Texas legal community all applicants must live in and practice law in the North Texas area. Faculty Adjunct Assistants may be retired from the practice of law as long as if they still live in the North Texas area. Further, all Faculty Adjunct Assistants are required to complete all training required of employees of UNT Dallas College of Law.
Public Leadership & Administration Adjunct Instructor Pool 2025-2026 Dallas

Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours on campus. The successful applicant will be expected to provide quality instruction in graduate Public Leadership and Administration courses matching the instructor’s background, education, and skills base. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of graduate level face-to-face, hybrid and online courses focused on pubic administration, including, but not limited to, Data Analytics and Research Methods, Public Service & Society, Performance Measurement & Monitoring, Intergovernmental Relations, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Leadership, Leading and Managing Pubic Organizations, and Public Private Partnerships. Adjunct faculty members may be required to use certain texts and meet certain parameters set by the Public Leadership program and will be required to be on campus for face-to-face and hybrid courses, as well as office hours. Adjunct instructors will also be required to include in their courses certain student assessment measures determined by the department, and to compile data on those assessment criteria.
Mathematics Adjunct Instructor Pool AY 2025-2026 Dallas

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for planning classes, implementing and evaluating teaching/learning objectives, and assessing student learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours and fulfilling the professional obligations of a part-time faculty member. The successful candidate will provide instruction for lower-division mathematics courses, which may include: • Developmental Mathematics • College Algebra • Business Algebra • Business Calculus • Elementary Statistics • Contemporary Mathematics • Mathematics for Teachers Most courses are offered in the afternoons and evenings on the UNT Dallas campus. Adjunct faculty may be required to use specific textbooks and adhere to instructional parameters set by the Department of Mathematics. Instructors will also be expected to incorporate departmental assessment measures into their courses and to compile and report relevant data.
