Duties & Responsibilities:
The Case Management Assistant is a part-time student worker position that supports the Ryan White Program by assisting case management staff with administrative and client service functions. The student worker will play a key role in processing the Virginia Medication Assistance Program (VAMAP) and pharmacy applications to ensure clients maintain access to essential medications and services.
Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist case managers with the intake, processing, and tracking of VAMAP applications
- Support completion and submission of pharmacy prescriptions and applications
- Review applications for completeness and accuracy, following program guidelines
- Maintain organized and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA and program policies
- Communicate with clients, pharmacies, and program staff as directed to obtain required documentation
- Contact clients to obtain documents or other required information
- Enter and update client information in electronic databases and tracking systems
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, copying, and data entry
- Provide additional support to the Ryan White case management team as needed
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills

This is a restricted position with no set end date. Continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.

Salary Range: $20 per hour
