Advertising Summary: The Department of Health Administration is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach HADE 610: Health Analytics and Decision Support during the fall semester. This course is delivered in a hybrid format and examines the application of analytics and decision support methods within health services organizations. Topics include the use of operations research and industrial engineering techniques with large institutional datasets to support health care planning, control, and decision-making. The course also covers deterministic and stochastic decision analysis models and their application in health services administration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver course lectures in person and online, as needed.
• Develop course materials, including the syllabus, lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Assign and grade coursework, homework, projects, and exams in a timely manner.
• Hold office hours and respond to students' questions and concerns.
• Use Canvas to manage course materials, assignments, grades, and communication.
• Maintain accurate student records and adhere to university policies.
• Communicate effectively with students and the department.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health administration, public health, business administration, or closely related disciplines.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience with Canvas or other Learning management systems.
• 5+ years of work in health administration.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Business, Health Services Research, Health Services Organizational Research, Public Health, Health Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate level courses.

Salary Range: Up to $8,134.98 (3 Credit Course)
