Compensation: $28/hour
Position Summary

The Part-Time Program & Event Producer reports to the Senior Curator & Director of Curatorial Affairs
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate logistics and production support for ICA public programs and events

Develop event timelines, production schedules, and run-of-show documents

Liaise with artists, speakers, performers, vendors, and community partners

Coordinate venue setup, AV needs, catering, staffing, and event materials

Provide on-site event management and troubleshooting during programs

Track budgets, invoices, contracts, and production expenses

Maintain organized program records and post-event reporting
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of experience in event production, arts administration, public programming, or related fields

Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities independently

Familiarity with event technology, audiovisual coordination, and virtual platforms

Proficiency in Asana and Google Workspace

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

- Experience working with artists, cultural organizations, or community-based programming preferred

Salary Range: $28/hour
