About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department by maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, processing paperwork, answering employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies, coordinating onboarding procedures, and generally supporting day-to-day HR operations, often acting as the first point of contact for employees on HR related matters. Also provides general administrative support to the VP of Fiscal Services, including clerical support and secretarial services, scheduling, communications, document production and organization, travel coordination, inventory, purchasing, and other administrative duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources or relative discipline.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement if relevant.
- Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
- Two years of relative experience.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and strong mathematical skills are mandatory.
- Proficient in spelling, punctuation, proper business English and excellent vocabulary.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external constituents.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work with various clients and visitors.
- A positive “can-do” attitude along with a professional appearance and demeanor should be modeled at all times.
- Must have a willingness to continually self-initiate learning to remain current in expertise.
- Should be able to quickly grasp and apply training in learning new skills and methods.
- Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated.

- Must possess excellent listening and customer service skills.
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
