About this Position
Working strategically in collaboration with the assistant director, graduate assistant, and undergraduate student staff, the Leadership Programs Coordinator for the Hargis Leadership Institute (HLI) will champion co-curricular leadership programs, working to continue establishing HLI as a premier land-grant leadership institute nationally. This involves enhancing access and fostering a culture of inclusion in support of OSU’s Ideal Graduate strategy. Responsibilities Include: Co-facilitating seminars for the HLI’s co-curricular leadership programs. Cultivating and nurturing campus relationships for student recruitment and retention. Collaborating with HLI staff in the development and implementation of existing and new programs. Planning and organizing events for leadership programs. Executing the Lead Orange campaign and the Ideal Graduate Celebration. Leading on-campus and off-campus leadership programming to cultivate highly effective leaders. Managing program data to assess and evaluate metrics of success. Collaborating with the HLI Scholarship Coordinator on student leadership engagement and retention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Leadership, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, or related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- One year of experience working with student leaders.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Experience in presenting, strategic communications, or public speaking
- Experience in small group facilitation
- Experience in planning events
- Experience recruiting and/or student engagement/programming
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's
Leadership, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, or related field
