The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in beautiful Stillwater, OK, invites applications for our Clinical Pathology Residency Training Position. We seek a motivated, hard-working, and dependable individual with a DVM or equivalent degree, a sense of humor, and a strong interest in diagnostic clinical pathology.
Position Details:
- Full-Time Position: Annually renewed for up to 3 years
- Start Date: July 31, 2026
- Salary: $50,000 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and fringe benefits.
About the Program:
- Our program has 3 board certified clinical pathologists and 2 clinical pathology residents.
- The successful candidate will receive training in all fields of Clinical Pathology including hematology, digital and glass cytology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and histopathology.
- Residents participate in clinical diagnostic service, regularly scheduled rounds, small-group teaching of DVM students, and seminars in conjunction with other residents.
- Residents spend up to 2 months per year training at a commercial diagnostic laboratory where they have access to a large and varied number of digital cases.
- Engage with extensive and varied diagnostic case material from the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (OADDL).
- Participate in rounds, seminars, and access abundant archived material for ACVP board preparation.
- Opportunities for creative scholarly activities and independent study.
- Concurrent enrollment in a graduate degree is optional.
Benefits:
- Annual travel stipend of $1,500 for pathology courses, workshops, and meetings.
