POSITION: The School of Kinesiology, Applied Health & Recreation invites applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow who will actively engage in a Parkinson’s Disease-related project in the area of Recreational Therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will hold a 100% research appointment and will be expected to:

Conduct independent and collaborative research focused on Parkinson’s disease and related balance disorders.

Demonstrate deep knowledge of current research methodologies and approaches specific to Parkinson’s disease.

Lead and manage research projects involving individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other balance-related conditions.

Employ advanced data collection techniques appropriate to the study of Parkinson’s and related neurological disorders.

Contribute to the scholarly literature through peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and support ongoing research initiatives within the lab or center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctoral Degree in the area of Recreation Therapy or a closely related field of study;

Demonstration of a history of research in the area of Parkinson’s disease and associated balance disorders;  

Use of data collection devices, including: GaitRite, BioSway, etc.
