Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.

Appointment Length

Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice

Hiring Range

$80,000 - $120,000

About this Position

The Technical Project Manager will support the Hamm Institute for American Energy (HIAE) by providing program management, data reporting for sponsored research, program fiscal management, program contract support, and administrative operations. This role will serve as a key point of coordination for these activities between the HIAE team and the Research programs both internally and externally to OSU and ensuring alignment with its strategic priorities, culture, and operational structure.

The position will focus on providing technical support for program management and project execution while fostering a collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Three years of related experience, to include research, program or project management, grant reporting, or technical operations. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and technical initiatives. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Salesforce) and technical software applications. Experience working in research and development organizations or energy-related industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's

    Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related STEM discipline or a Bachelor’s degree in the same with commensurate experience in a related role.

  • 10 years experience research, program or project management, grant reporting, or technical operations. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and technical initiatives. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Salesforce) and technical software applications. Experience working in research and development organizations or energy-related industries.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Lean Six Sigma

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-moving environment that values agility and responsiveness and excels at balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality work on tight timelines.
