About this Position
The position is part of UHS leadership team, which contributes and participates in activities to support the overall mission of the department. Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to clinic employees including nursing, lab, and x-ray. Oversee clinical referrals, clinical student staff and counseling partnerships. Develops, recommends, and implements UHS departmental objectives, policies and standards for care, and evaluates effectiveness. Responsible for interviewing prospective personnel, and providing orientation and training of new hires. Works with community and regional partners related to clinical matters. Coordinate, contribute and participate in outpatient accreditation and assessment processes, committees, and policy and procedure development for compliance. Works to resolve patient complaints and grievances related to clinical operations.
Responsible for organization, management and supervision of people and programs withing the department. Provides leadership, guidance, direction, and oversight to ensure efficient workflow, adequate staffing levels, resolution of difficult problems, and monitoring of quality assurance measures. Ensures proper inventory levels and cost containment. Coordinates and delegates tasks to individuals according to clinic needs and staff competency. Implements compliance of quality, safety, and infection control standards.
Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion. Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, clinical staff, and nonclinical staff to form an efficient and high-performing medical team.
Required Qualifications
- Master's
Nursing, Health Care Administration, or other health care related field.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Three years supervisory or management experience, which includes hospital and/ or clinic work experience.
- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Valid Oklahoma Nursing License (if applicable), CPR certification or obtain prior to beginning of work.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Knowledge of all areas related to medical clinic workflows. The position requires strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills. Communication and leadership skills are required. Interpersonal and listening skills are required to effectively interact with UHS staff, leadership, and the university community.
