Job Duties: This position is in Claremore, Oklahoma. Provides administrative support for Extension educators located at the Rogers County Extension Office. Works cooperatively as part of the support team housed in the office and duties include: 1) Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software used to complete daily assignments. 2) Perform database entry and management relative to 4-H youth programming; 3) Assist assigned educators with administrative support functions — phone, greet the public, manage mail, develop and retrieve requested materials, file management, etc. 4) Maintain calendars; assist with travel arrangements and submit travel claims; 5) Understand various OSU, County, and OCES regulations, policies, and office procedures for efficient office management. 6) Work as needed with other county, district, or state offices as appropriate. Majority of assignments will involve 4-H Youth Development programming.

Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance, and available county funding.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • No experience required. Starting pay is based upon education and prior relevant work experience.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Valid Driver's License. Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties. Reimbursement for official travel. 

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent people skills. Ability to multi-task; yet pay particular attention to details. Good organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in an office setting.
