About this Position
The Academic Research Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This role consists of dual responsibilities including academic administrative duties and research assistant responsibilities. The position ensures efficient office operations including Outlook calendar management, travel reimbursement, purchasing, coordinating meetings, and general office management. The position also contributes to faculty-led research projects; specifically, the research responsibilities to include data collection, literature reviews, and manuscript review/ preparation. The incumbent may be tasked with research related work related to any portion of the research lifecycle including IRB application support and other research related efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology/ behavioral sciences, or related field OR Five years of administrative experience including research assistant experience. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Experience in administrative support and/or research assistance.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with research tools such as SPSS and Excel for data analysis.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
