About this Position
The Langston University Police Officer is responsible for ensuring campus safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting positive community relations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Patrol campus areas on foot or by vehicle

Investigate crimes and suspicious activity

Enforce laws and university policies
-
Respond to emergencies and render aid when necessary

Complete detailed reports documenting incidents and daily activities

Communicate effectively with dispatch and other emergency services

Monitor safety hazards and address security concerns
-
Arrest suspects and support criminal investigations
-
Collaborate with local and state law enforcement agencies
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
Minimum Requirements
-
Must be at least 21 years of age
-
Must have a valid driver’s license
-
Must have no felony convictions
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
