About this Position
Serve as the Nurse Supervisor for LPN/RMA/CA staff within the Pediatrics Department. This position will work with the practice administrator, physicians and support staff to ensure an effective and efficient department and serves as the point of contact for communication among the patient population and healthcare providers on nursing issues.
The Nurse Supervisor responsibilities include:
- Supervises daily work effort of nursing staff
- Enters data into various logs such as Oklahoma State Immunization Information System; etc.
- Serves as Primary Coordinator for the Vaccines for Children’s program including inventory, tracking, ordering, training, and compliance
- Monitors nursing duties to facilitate patient evaluation/notification (i.e. triage system)
- Ensures adequate staffing, prioritizes workloads and reassigns staff as needed
- Responsible for ordering all clinic supplies and inventory
- Interviews/effectively onboards new staff; with support of Practice Admin completes evaluations, disciplinary actions when necessary
- Tracks various ancillary Pediatric programs including newborn screens and lead screenings
- Effectively coaches staff to improve performance
- Models excellent nursing skills for direct reports
- Assists clinic administration with establishing clinical policies and procedures for patient care
- Management of clinical education and competencies, quality improvement, staff meetings and communication as needed
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical
- Minimum of one-year direct patient care nursing experience required.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse as required in the State of Oklahoma.
- Current CPR certification
- Valid Driver License required.

- Skilled in delivery of patient care and procedures

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year direct supervisory/managerial experience.
- Pediatric experience.
- Experience working/leading a back office clinical setting.
- Experience with EPIC or another electronic medical records system.
