About this Position
Serve as academic adviser to undergraduate students pursuing majors within the College of Education and Human Sciences. Teach First-Year Experience course for freshmen and/or transfer students. Collaborate with the academic unit within the College of Education and Human Sciences. Meet and communicate regularly with the departmental administrators regarding curriculum and practices of the unit. Assist with student leadership development programs and College of Education and Human Sciences events. Perform administrative duties and implement special projects as assigned. Represent College of Education and Human Sciences at student organization meetings/events. Evaluate student records and maintain student files. Serve/advise prospective students and their families as needed. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Academic Advisor I (non-exempt): Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years experience in a comparable position..
Academic Advisor II (exempt): Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years experience in a comparable position.
Academic Advisor III (exempt): Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience in a comparable position.
Senior Academic Advisor I (exempt): Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years experience in a comparable position.
Senior Academic Advisor II (exempt): Bachelor's degree and 7 years experience in a comparable position.
